Conference "Space, the construction of the character and Camillian intertextuality in Domingos Monteiro"

Summary: In this communication, we try to illustrate the intertextuality between the two writers, Camilo Castelo Branco and Domingos Monteiro (both lived in the city of Vila Real and Domingos Monteiro was a student at the then Camilo Castelo Branco Central High School! ), based on an analysis of the short story "O Desconto", included in História das Horas Vagas, published in 1966, and the novel Eusébio Macário, in which there is even an intradiegetic reference to Camilo and an episode from that novel, which was later continued in A Corja.
